The 2016 Windows to the West Art Show and Sale convenes more than 50 of the country's top contemporary Western heritage artists in one of the most beautiful mountain settings in America at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.  The three-day sale and exhibition in Estes Park, Colorado, June 3-5, showcases more than 200 new pieces of art, with rich opportunities to meet the artists and discuss their unique depictions of Western landscapes, wildlife and traditional Western American life.  Windows to the West is a charitable benefit event sponsored by the Estes Park Western Heritage Foundation.

Celebrating The Fine Art Of The West

The 2017 Windows to the West Art Show and Sale  will convene 48 of the country's top contemporary Western heritage artists in one of the most beautiful mountain settings in America at the threshold of Rocky Mountain National Park.  The three-day event, at the Estes Park Events Center, showcases some 200 new pieces of art, with rich opportunities to meet the artists and discuss their unique styles and depictions of Western landscapes, wildlife and traditional Western lifestyles in a wide variety of media.  Windows to the West is a charitable benefit event presented by the Estes Park Western Heritage Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Friday Gala Opening

The show opens Friday evening with a Gala introduction of the artists and their art, accented with live music, a fine dinner buffet, wine and other refreshments, plus door prizes!  Put on your cowboy boots and enjoy a fun evening of Western hospitality and fine art to buy.

A silent auction also will be held during the Gala for selected works donated by artists in the show. The show's sponsors, partners and affiliates will be spotlighted, and a special welcome will be given to the young grand-prize winner of the Colorado Kids Create statewide art competition.  The other twelve winning artworks for various age levels in the competition also will be displayed at the show.

 

Saturday Presentations

Saturday afternoon will feature a one-hour educational session, adjacent to the show's gallery, with an historical survey of Western art in the Estes Valley, artist demonstrations, and guidance to the various media and styles in the show.

Gift Shop

The artists in the show additionally will offer artwork prints, giclées, greeting cards, and other items for sale in the Gift Shop.

The art show will help support the programs of local service organizations while furthering the foundation's own mission to preserve and promote Western heritage in the Estes Valley. Learn how you're purchases of original art at the show can also contribute to your favorite organization.


Don Weller - 2016 Artists' Choice Winner

We congratulate Don Weller, our 2016 Artists' Choice Award winner.  We will feature Don's work in the coming months in our communications and promotions--one way for us to celebrate this master of watercolor and thank him for participating in the Windows to the West Art Show & Sale.   We are delighted that Don is returning for the 2017 show!  See Don's profile for the work he is presenting this year.
