The 2016 Windows to the West Art Show and Sale convenes more than 50 of the country's top contemporary Western heritage artists in one of the most beautiful mountain settings in America at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.  The three-day sale and exhibition in Estes Park, Colorado, June 3-5, showcases more than 200 new pieces of art, with rich opportunities to meet the artists and discuss their unique depictions of Western landscapes, wildlife and traditional Western American life.  Windows to the West is a charitable benefit event sponsored by the Estes Park Western Heritage Foundation.

Curt Mattson

Curt Mattson

Joy, excitement, and intensity mark Curt Mattson’s passion for life.  Curt’s work evokes these emotions and more.  Movement, texture, mass, color and negative space bring each piece to life.  Collectors compare his Western pieces to those of Russell and Remington. These pieces become a focal point in any environment.  And no wonder, the sculptor brings award-winning excellence to his work.

His dynamic works of art have won many awards.  Included in these awards are:  National Sculpture Society’s 2002 Exhibition, The Elliot Gantz Award; Quest for the West Eiteljorg Museum 1st Place Sculpture; Best of Show at the Phippen Museum Fine Art Show.

“I sculpt to bring to the world something that will encourage, excite and bring hope.  Any creation is void of true meaning unless it is born of a sincere love for the subject and the art form in which it is expressed.”

Curt has established low edition sizes for each one of his sculptures.   On average no more than twenty pieces are available of each of his works.
