Cydney Springer’s two great passions are living in the Rocky Mountains and painting them. Living a stone’s throw from Rocky Mountain National Park provides constant inspiration.
“The mountains have spoken to my heart since I was a small child visiting from Louisiana where I grew up. Here, I look out my windows every morning at an amazing view of the Continental Divide and feel that I am the most blessed person in the world to live my dream.
“Everything about the mountains is intriguing to me... from vast meadows shadowed by towering peaks to tiny and delicate moss-banked crystal streams... I adore the perfection of nature. Every painting I create is a spiritual experience and to share that experience is the greatest gift.”
Cydney has lived in Colorado most of her life and makes Estes Park her home. She was a featured “Artist to Watch” by Southwest Art Magazine in 2008. She was one of ten artists selected in 2013 to represent Rocky Mountain National Park in an award-winning book called “Art of the National Parks." She has been juried into numerous exhibitions and is a member of Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters, Oil Painters of America and a Signature member of Plein Air Painters of Colorado.
