June Dudley’s paintings have a dynamic, life-giving quality attributable to her vibrant coloration that has become a trademark of her work. Her paintings reflect the romance and beauty of nature.
June says, “I am a country girl whose life revolves around art. Painting is all I have ever wanted to do for as long as I can remember even though life’s roads have at times taken me in other directions. I grew up on a ranch, which has been recognized by the state of Texas for having been in my family for over 100 years and which my husband and I still proudly own & operate today. I love painting landscapes because they come from my heart.”
Her paintings have been on the covers of Country Lifestyles, Rocky Mountain Rider & Longhorn Drover magazines as well as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s School Art program cover for 2007. The Big Bear Cowboy Gathering in California in 2007 featured June’s “Say What?” painting as their theme & poster art. She was the recipient of the coveted John Steven Jones $5000 Award as well as Best of Show & People’s Choice from the Bosque Arts Center, San Dimas Festival of Art’s Gold Award and Purchase Award winner, Best of the West’s Landscape Award twice, the Grumbacher Award, the Gold Award at the Texas Rangers’ Hall of Fame and many others. She is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and serves on the School Art’s Judges Steering Committee.
