Charlene Roake

Charlene Roake

Charlene Roake was born and raised in the beautiful countryside of Kentucky, where she developed a love for the outdoors, playing on farms, surrounded by nature and all kinds of critters. Roake now lives in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The beauty of that landscape provides the inspiration for her paintings. “What a joy and humbling experience it is to enter this landscape and the world of the wildlife,” she notes.

Her paintings demonstrate a familiar, reverential, and studious relationship with the natural surroundings.

Recent awards include: Finalist in the International Artist magazine Wildlife Competition, 2013; and Honorable Mention, "This is Colorado" show, Madden Museum of Art, Denver, CO, 2012.
