The 2016 Windows to the West Art Show and Sale convenes more than 50 of the country's top contemporary Western heritage artists in one of the most beautiful mountain settings in America at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.  The three-day sale and exhibition in Estes Park, Colorado, June 3-5, showcases more than 200 new pieces of art, with rich opportunities to meet the artists and discuss their unique depictions of Western landscapes, wildlife and traditional Western American life.  Windows to the West is a charitable benefit event sponsored by the Estes Park Western Heritage Foundation.

Karen Roehl

Karen Roehl

Born in Montreal Canada, Karen Roehl currently resides in Denver, Colorado. She has taught painting at the Art Students League of Denver since 2011 and currently is Director of Denver’s Ice Cube Gallery. Roehl participates regularly in juried and invitational exhibitions, including the Coors Western Art Exhibit for 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Her color palette ranges from monochromatic to very colorful: monochromatic palettes emphasize texture, composition, shapes and the marks themselves. Color reflects the strong emotional forces that influence our moods and interactions.

Roehl was named Editor’s Choice for Artist to Watch in the February 2016 issue of Southwest Art magazine. Her work is shown at Evergreen Fine Art in Evergreen, Colorado, and she exhibits her abstract paintings with Artwork Network in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver.
