Robert Krogle had a long and successful career as a commercial artist before moving, in 1992, to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to pursue his dream of becoming an oil painter. His move was inspired by the region’s natural beauty and a chance meeting with a group of local fine artists.
Krogle has become one of the West’s most recognized and accomplished impressionist painters. “I am an impressionist," he explains. "I paint familiar images in an abstract way. I also hope my paintings make people feel some emotion or inspire them to pursue their own creative path.” His subjects range from Western and equine images to Native American, romantic figurative, and fine portrait commissions.
